Michael Woods

Michael Woods has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Michael currently holds the position of Senior Vice President Product Management at Luminous Computing since June 2023. Prior to this, they served as Vice President - Product Management and Vice President - Special Projects at the same company in 2022.

Before joining Luminous Computing, Woods worked at NVIDIA as Senior System Software Manager, AI for Graphics & Gaming from December 2021 to May 2022. During their tenure, they led new tech development efforts in the AR space and managed software engineering for DLSS and related technologies.

From 2014 to 2021, Woods was associated with Magic Leap, where they held various positions, including Principal, Pathfinding and Innovation, Principal Systems Architect, Product and Technical Lead: Controller, Lead Systems Engineer, and Senior Systems Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for leading cross-functional teams, managing relationships with business partners, and overseeing the development of cutting-edge technologies.

Woods also has an entrepreneurial background as the CEO/Founder of E&M Labs, Inc., where they successfully brought two lines of award-winning STEM toys to market and delivered multiple Kickstarter projects. Additionally, they served as an Advisor for HW Startups at StartX and held the positions of CEO/Founder at Jakugo and Proto Team Engineer at Idealab.

In terms of their education, Woods conducted research at Caltech as a Summer Researcher in the Filipone Lab and served as the Interhouse Committee Chairman. Michael also interned at Idealab as an R&D Intern.
