Visual Designer

Product · Full-time · Old Toronto, Canada

Job description

We’re LumiQ – an audio-first professional education platform for CPAs. We help CPAs get their continuing professional development (CPD) hours through engaging podcasts with business leaders (the CFOs of Slack, Shopify, Yelp, Yahoo!, TD Bank, and Wealthsimple just to name a few). CPD/CPE is the yearly required learning that CPAs generally dread doing. They’re tired of dealing with boring webinars, irrelevant content and product experiences that are out-of-date. That’s why they’ve flocked to LumiQ and our mission to make professional learning enjoyable.

With 600+ companies signed up, and 300% YoY growth, we’re at the precipice of launching a global movement that’s going to massively change the professional education and podcasting industries. We’ve also recently expanded into the US market and we’re seeing wonderful early signs of traction.

LumiQ is experiencing rapid growth as you might expect from a startup at our stage, but we tend not to subscribe to the mantra of “move fast and break things.” Our goal is to build a profitable company where our employees can learn and grow, and where customers see real value and genuinely enjoy using the product. We are building a company meant to last, and if this resonates with you, we hope you will consider joining us on our journey to transform professional education!

The Visual Designer will collaborate with our Director of Design and Director of Marketing, and will be responsible for creating new visual design artifacts for our Marketing team, Sales team, and other stakeholders. The Visual Designer will also work closely with our Design, Marketing, and Sales teams to evolve our brand identity.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and other stakeholders to create new visual design artifacts based on our visual brand identity
  • Collaborating with Product and Design to further evolve our brand identity
  • Conceptualizing and designing a wide range of digital and print marketing materials. This can include website and landing pages, retractable banners, conference handouts, ads, social posts, one-pagers, presentations decks, emails and more
  • Taking lead on projects such as landing page redesigns, conference booth designs, sales enablement rehauls or new marketing campaigns
  • Ensuring brand consistency across all company channels
  • Continuously updating and improving your designs based on feedback from stakeholders and users

Who You Are:

  • Have 2-5 years of experience as a Visual Designer, bonus if you’ve designed for a B2B audience
  • Exhibit a deep understanding of visual design principles and consider yourself a champion of high quality design
  • Extremely organized and have excellent project management skills.
  • You can manage multiple projects, keep stakeholders up to date on project statuses and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Customer-centric and curious: you want to understand our customer (and team members) in depth to create designs that resonate with them
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma, or equivalent work experience, in design, digital media, graphic design, or other related field.
