Jenny Mac has a varied work experience, beginning with their current role as Scientist I at Lumos Diagnostics. Prior to this, they were the owner of JennybearTM, an Etsy shop selling handmade amigurumi keychains and plush toys from 2012 to 2020. From 2014 to 2018, they were a Graduate Student Researcher and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Riverside. From 2011 to 2014, they held various roles at the University of California, Riverside, including Undergraduate Research Assistant, Chemistry Lab Stockroom Student Worker, and BCH 110A Peer Tutor. Jenny also worked as a Clinical Care Extender at Riverside Community Hospital from 2011 to 2014.
Jenny Mac attended Mark Keppel High School from 2005 to 2009. Jenny then went on to the University of California, Riverside, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2013. Following this, they received a Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the same university in 2016. Finally, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Riverside in 2019.
