Joe Antonakakis

Joe Antonakakis is a software engineer who currently works for Lumos. Prior to working for Lumos, Joe worked for Facebook for just over three years. Joe's roles at Facebook included Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer on the IDE Tooling and Developer Infrastructure team. Joe was responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and features of the Facebook integrated development environment (IDE). Joe also worked on internal tooling to enable management of the products their team shipped. Joe was a leader on several major projects shipped to all Facebook engineers, including language services, analytics systems, remote development tooling, internal web tooling, and VS Code extensions. Prior to working at Facebook, Joe was a software engineering intern at Facebook and a strategic innovation intern at Booz Allen Hamilton. Joe is also the co-creator and full-stack developer of RedRoster.

Joe Antonakakis has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Cornell University, and they also have a certification from the New Jersey Department of Health in Emergency Medical Technician. Joe attended high school at Holmdel High School.
