Engineering Manager, Infrastructure at Lumosity

Neel Shah has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. In 2009, they founded and served as the CEO of NS Designers, where they successfully identified new business opportunities and managed a team of 10+ employees. Neel also mentored development teams in Agile and RAD best practices. In 2009, they briefly worked as an Online Chat Representative for Etech Global Services, assisting customers with selecting products and completing online transactions.

From 2013 to 2017, Neel worked at New York University IT as a Full Stack Developer and Technical Lead. In this role, they played a crucial part in the development and management of NYU's custom WordPress multisite implementation for academic purposes.

In 2017, Neel joined InRhythm as a Senior DevOps Engineer, supporting clients such as Mastercard in implementing modern DevOps practices. Neel worked on technologies like Jenkins, Docker, VMWare Cloud, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Chef, Java, Maven, Gradle, and Node.

Starting in 2018, Neel worked at Capsule as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of their systems. Neel moved on to Haven - Amazon, Berkshire, JPMorgan Chase Healthcare Venture in 2019, where they continued their role as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer.

Neel then transitioned to Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2020 as a Senior DevOps Architect and Team Lead, where they played a key role in architecting and leading DevOps processes and solutions.

Their most recent position is as an Engineering Manager in Infrastructure at Lumos Labs (Lumosity) starting in 2022. Neel's expertise and experience make him a valuable asset in managing and enhancing infrastructure for the company's operations.

Neel Shah obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Engineering from Gujarat Technological University, completing their studies from 2009 to 2013. Neel then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from New York University, where they attended from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, Neel has earned several certifications including becoming a Certified Jenkins Engineer from CloudBees in August 2017, an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2021, and a Certified SCRUM Master from Scrum Alliance in January 2017.
