Justin Stay

Justin Stay, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of optical systems engineering. Justin began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology in 2004 and worked there until 2009. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Senior Engineer at Dynetics, Inc. In 2012, they joined Micron Optics, Inc. as a Lead Optical Engineer and later became the Director of Engineering from 2017 to 2018. Justin then transitioned to Luna Innovations in 2018, where they served as a Product Development Manager until 2021, after which they became the Director of Optical Systems Engineering. Additionally, Justin spent a brief period of time at ADVA Optical Networking in 2007 as an Optical Systems Engineer.

Justin Stay, Ph.D. holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in School of Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Justin went on to earn a Master of Science (MS) degree, also in School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, from the same institution, before completing their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
