Ammar Akhtar

Ammar Akhtar is an accomplished professional in the financial technology sector with extensive experience in leadership and innovation. Currently serving in Core Engineering at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. since July 2024, Ammar co-founded Luna Protocol, a platform for smart contracts and programmable ledgers, from May 2022 to June 2024. Previously, Ammar founded Yobota, a cloud-native core banking provider, and served as Group Founder at Chetwood Financial Limited from March 2016 to March 2022. Prior roles include leading product development at BOLDROCKET, managing projects at Capco, and overseeing derivatives transition at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Ammar's consultancy experience at Accenture involved front office project management and designing execution algorithms for financial derivatives. Ammar holds a BSc in Mathematics from Imperial College London.
