Doug Norton

Doug Norton has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and positions. Doug is currently the Director of Product Management for Distributed Sensing at LUNA Innovations since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked at AFL for four years as a Regional Sales Manager in the Industrial/Oil & Gas sector. Before their time at AFL, they served as the Vice President of Engineering at Fiber Optic Pipeline Solutions from July 2014 to October 2019. Doug also worked as a consultant at Norton Consulting Services from March to August 2014. Other notable positions include Engineering Manager at BMP Enterprises from October 2011 to February 2014, Sr. Technical Advisor at Baker Hughes from 2007 to 2011, and DTS Systems Manager at Weatherford from 1997 to 2007. Doug started their career as a Sr. Project Engineer at CiDRA from December 1997 to November 2001 and as a Sr. Applications Engineer at Spectran Specialty Optics Company from June 1995 to December 1997. Before that, they worked as a Consultant-Sr. Engineer at McDermott International Inc. from January 1994 to March 1995.

Doug Norton attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1982 to 1987, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
