Kathie van Vugt

Kathie van Vugt has extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Kathie started their career as the Co-Founder and Business Manager of irevenuestream.com in 2011. Kathie then served as the Company Secretary for rivusTV Ltd, where they established governance, accountability, and risk frameworks. After that, they became the Chief Operating Officer of Spondo, a video streaming platform. In this role, they introduced a strategic roadmap for transformation and expansion.

In 2013, Kathie joined AHPRA (Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) as the Head of Governance and Secretariat. Kathie led the delivery of governance and secretariat services to various regulatory boards and committees and optimized workflow systems.

From 2017 to 2020, Kathie worked as the Chief Shared Services Officer at Hub Australia, leading the company through a period of growth and successful funding. Kathie had strategic oversight of HR and Technology and built a culture of high performance and innovation.

In 2020, they served as the Interim General Manager of The Lyceum Club Melbourne, a private ladies club, during a critical time for the business and amidst the pandemic.

Currently, Kathie is the Senior Operations Manager at Lunar Outpost, where they are responsible for establishing the Melbourne-based operations of Lunar Outpost Oceania and driving the Moon to Mars Trailblazer mission, aiming to invigorate Australia's emerging space industry.

Kathie completed their Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) at Eltham College from 1985 to 1993. In 1994, they completed their first year of a Bachelor of Arts at Monash University.

In the period from 1995 to 1998, Kathie van Vugt studied at Victoria University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business (BBus) with a focus on Travel and Tourism Management, Administration - Service Management, and Marketing.

In 2016 and 2017, they attended Melbourne Business School, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a concentration in Senior Executive MBA (SEMBA).

In 2020, van Vugt participated in the Margaret Jackson WOBSX Syndicate program offered by Women On Boards. This peer-to-peer mentoring program aims to accelerate women into ASX board roles, with David Rennick as the chair.
