Mark S. Hacker is executive vice president, general counsel & chief administrative officer of Motorola Solutions. He leads the company’s legal, government affairs and human resources teams.
Hacker was previously senior vice president and general counsel overseeing legal, government affairs, global marketing, communications and the Motorola Solutions Foundation. Prior to that he was corporate vice president of commercial law and legal operations. He became vice president in 2009 after holding a variety of other law leadership roles. Before joining Motorola in 2001, Hacker was a corporate finance associate with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney and an accountant with Arthur Andersen, both in Philadelphia.
He is a member of the Illinois and Pennsylvania state bars, has been a certified public accountant, and is an adjunct professor at Northwestern University School of Law.
Hacker is on the board of directors of Business Executives for National Security, Skills for Chicagoland’s Future, St. Rita of Cascia High School in Chicago and the 100 Club of Illinois, an organization that provides for the families of police officers, firefighters and paramedics who have lost their lives in the line of duty. He is also a member of the President’s Advisory Council of Villanova University.
Hacker earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Villanova University and a law degree from Villanova University School of Law.
