Freja Marie Hegelund

Freja Marie Hegelund is a Ph.D. student at Lund University, focusing on cultural geography from September 2023 to September 2027. Previous academic experiences include a visiting Ph.D. student position at the University of Oxford in late 2024 and consulting for the Center for Applied Ecological Thinking at the University of Copenhagen during the summer of 2023. Freja has also worked as a research assistant on the VELUX project, engaging in data collection and analysis related to co-creation processes in rural narratives. Additional roles consist of communication work for the Council for Green Transition and teaching climate change to younger talents. Freja's educational background includes a Master's in Anthropology from the University of Copenhagen, studies at The University of Tokyo, and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Copenhagen, complemented by various specialized training programs.
