Karen Ng

National Support Group Facilitator & Lupus Ambassador at Lupus Foundation of America

Karen Ng is an experienced professional with a diverse background in health promotion, advocacy, and community engagement. Currently serving as the Director of Operations at Hibiscus Asia + Pacific Forum, Karen has also made significant contributions as an Educator and Independent Consultant at Beautycounter, promoting awareness of safe personal care products, and as a National Support Group Facilitator and Lupus Ambassador with the Lupus Foundation of America. Additionally, Karen holds the position of Board Chair for the Hawai'i Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and has a longstanding role as an Advisory Board Member at the Hospital for Special Surgery. As the founder of the LANtern Program, Karen developed resources and training for Asian-Americans with lupus, enhancing cultural understanding and support. With prior strategic leadership roles at Orphans' Futures Alliance, The Cartwheel Initiative, and APEX for Youth, Karen's dedication to community service and public health is further supported by academic credentials including an MPH from Columbia University and a BA from Cornell University.
