Katie Lampe has a diverse range of work experience. Katie started their career as a Rocks and Ropes Instructor at the YMCA of the Rockies in 2011. From 2011 to 2012, they served as an AmeriCorps VISTA at the Sand Creek Regional Greenway Partnership, where they coordinated an environmental education outreach program and managed volunteers. In 2012, they worked as an English Teaching Assistant through the Teaching Assistant Program in France USA. In 2013, they returned to the Sand Creek Regional Greenway Partnership as the Fundraising, Outreach, and Volunteer Manager, responsible for grant writing, organizing fundraisers, and managing volunteers. In 2014, Katie worked as a Research Assistant at the Central Coast Children's Foundation. In 2015, they interned at the UNHCR as a Community Services Intern, where they developed educational programming for refugees and asylum seekers. Later in 2015, they interned at the International Rescue Committee as an Anti-Human Trafficking Intern, conducting evaluations and providing support to victims. In 2016, Katie simultaneously worked as a Graduate Assistant at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, providing technical support for a program evaluation course, and as an Unaccompanied Refugee Minor Foster Care Case Manager at Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains.
Katie Lampe completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International/Global Studies from Elon University from 2007 to 2011. Katie then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in International Policy Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, studying from 2014 to 2016.
