Emily Sitzes, MT-BC has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Emily began their career as a Billing Assistant at The Orthopedic Center of St. Louis in 2014 and worked there until 2017. In 2017, Emily interned as a Music Therapist at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. Emily then joined Lutheran Senior Services in 2018, starting as a Lifestyle Enrichment Guide for six months before transitioning to a Music Therapist role. Currently, Emily holds the position of Director of Community Wellness at Lutheran Senior Services, a role they have held since December 2022.
Emily Sitzes, MT-BC, obtained their education in Music Therapy from Maryville University of Saint Louis from 2013 to 2018. Emily holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy. In addition to their degree, Emily has pursued additional certifications. In October 2018, they became a Board-Certified Music Therapist through the Certification Board for Music Therapists. Emily also obtained a certification as a Licensed Drums Alive Instructor from Drums Alive in April 2019. Moreover, they obtained Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from Lutheran Senior Services in March 2022.
