Marwa Mohammadi

Marwa Mohammadi is an experienced professional currently serving as a Coordinator/Linguist CAT I for Afghan Relocation Efforts (CARE) with the Department of State at Valiant Integrated Services since January 2024, facilitating communication between Afghan refugees and various stakeholders. In addition, Marwa has worked as a Case Manager for Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area, developing individualized self-sufficiency plans and ensuring culturally appropriate services. Previous experience includes roles at IOM - UN Migration as an Assistant Case Worker, where Marwa conducted intake interviews and collaborated with caseworkers for effective resettlement, and as an Interpreter Translator for Cherokee Nation and ABM Industries, providing essential interpretation services. Marwa began a journalism career at Norin National TV, focusing on diverse topics. Marwa is pursuing a degree in Government and International Politics with a focus on International Relations and Affairs at George Mason University.
