Carlos Jovel has a long and extensive work history in the travel industry. Carlos began their career in 2000 as an Analyst/Administrator for TACA, where they worked in Revenue Management, Alliances, and Market Planning. Carlos then moved to Volaris in 2009 as a Project Leader for Business Development. In 2010, they joined LATAM Airlines as a Director of Distribution and Revenue Integrity, and was later promoted to Senior Director of Pricing and Revenue Management, Center of Excellence, and then Vice President of Revenue Innovation and Pricing and Revenue Management, Center of Excellence. In 2016, they became a Board Member (Non executive) at ATPCO. In 2018, they were a Sloan Fellow at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Most recently, in 2019, they co-founded RedKnot, a travel technology company dedicated to establishing deep connections with people and cultures in every place they visit. In 2020, they co-founded LUUK.

Carlos Jovel received their MBA from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business between 2008 and 2010. Carlos then attended the University of Chicago, where they received a Diploma in Public Policy Analysis in 2013. In 2018, Carlos completed a Master of Science in Management, Technology and Innovation at Stanford University. Carlos also studied Business and Economics at ESEN from 1997 to 2000.
