Vijaykumar Varma, Ph.D., currently serves as a Research and Development Scientist at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology, focusing on establishing a machine learning-integrated combinatorial synthesis unit for rapid materials discovery. Previously, Vijaykumar held the position of Senior Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore for a decade, contributing to various projects involving AI/ML applications in materials science, including work on structural alloys, flow chemistry, soft robotics, and magnetic cooling technologies. Vijaykumar's research led to collaborations with prominent institutions and the production of several high-quality journal articles, invited talks, and a book chapter, alongside recognized teaching excellence. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Microfluidics and Materials Sciences from Nanyang Technological University, a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Pune, and a Bachelor’s degree in Science with a focus on Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
