Richard Greene

Richard Greene has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Richard is currently working as a Financial Controller at Luzern eCommerce since 2022. Previously, from 2021 to 2022, they worked as a Lecturer in Accounting & Finance and Leadership & Management at Independent College Dublin, where they delivered online and face-to-face lectures and enhanced the course content with practical real-world examples.

Prior to that, from 2015 to 2020, Richard held the position of Senior Finance & Business Strategy Manager at ORIFLAME COSMETICS. In this role, they were responsible for the finance function for Research and Development (R&D) in multiple locations, including Ireland, Sweden, and Singapore. Richard also managed financial statements, statutory audits, and various financial reporting aspects.

From 2012 to 2014, Richard was the Head of Finance & Business Support at Web Summit, a successful start-up, where they built the finance function from scratch and oversaw the growth of the company. Richard managed financial reporting, payroll, tax returns, and other financial activities.

Before that, from 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Senior Finance Manager at Aviva Europe, supporting change implementation in property and facilities portfolios across different countries. Richard also handled investment appraisals and project management cost control.

From 2010 to 2011, Richard worked as a Finance Manager at Microsoft, and from 2007 to 2010, they served as a Project Accountant at Sorrento Asset Management, where they managed financial aspects of property investments.

In 2006, Richard worked as a Pricing & Profitability Manager at Elavon Financial Services, where they managed pricing and profitability for thousands of customers. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2006, they had multiple roles at Microsoft, including Project Manager and Senior Business/Financial Analyst, where they focused on management reporting, budget planning, and financial analysis.

Richard started their career in 1997 as a Pricing Analyst at ExxonMobil, where they ensured competitive pricing for motor oils across different market segments.

Overall, Richard Greene has a wide range of experience in finance, accounting, lecturing, and project management, gained through their various positions in different organizations.

Richard Greene attended the University of Limerick from 1993 to 1997, where they completed their Bachelor of Business Studies degree. Their field of study was Business Studies & French. In 2009 to 2010, Richard enrolled at Dublin Business School to pursue their degree in Management Accountancy, completing the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) program.
