Madina Qasimi

Scholar In Residence at Lawyers Without Borders

Madina Qasimi is an accomplished legal scholar and adviser with extensive experience in international law and gender issues. Currently serving as a Scholar in Residence at Lawyers Without Borders and as an Advisor and Legal Fellow at The Human Trafficking Legal Center, Qasimi has held prominent positions including Minister Counselor at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Chief of Staff to the First Lady at the ARG Presidential Palace. Previous roles encompass leadership in various capacities within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Women Affairs of Afghanistan, as well as founding and managing Shuhada Girls High School. Qasimi holds a Master’s degree in Law and International Legal Studies from American University Washington College of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science from Kabul University.
