Austin Choi-Fitzpatrick

Austin Choi-Fitzpatrick serves as the Associate Provost for Academic Strategy and Growth at the University of San Diego, where roles include Faculty Director of the Center for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Professor of Sociology. Austin has a strong academic background with progressive faculty positions at the same institution since 2015. Additional leadership roles include Director of the MA in Social Innovation at Yale University, Co-Chair of the Future of Slavery and Emancipation Working Group, and participation in various fellowships and research initiatives across leading institutions including Harvard University and UC San Diego. Austin Co-Founded ArtBuilds Collective and has made significant contributions to social movements and human rights research through various initiatives. Educational credentials include a PhD in Sociology from the University of Notre Dame and an MA in International Relations from the University of Denver.
