Saranjah Indumathy

President Emeritus- MLS Student Division at Lawyers Without Borders

Saranjah Indumathy has a diverse work experience starting from their role as a Volunteer Paralegal at Refugee Legal in 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Legal Assistant/Receptionist at Morley Naughton Pearn & Cook starting from November 2022. At Monash University, they held multiple roles including Exam Invigilator and Teaching Associate from 2020 to 2022. They have also served as the President - MLS Student Division at Lawyers Without Borders and Treasurer at Science and Technology Law Association (SATLA). In 2021 and 2022, they were the Deputy Convenor for Victorian Committee at the Australian Society for Medical Research. Earlier, they worked as a Teaching Associate and Research Assistant at Monash University, where they investigated the potential role of IL-1 & -23 combined therapy for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). They also worked as a Research Assistant and Administrative Assistant at Hudson Institute of Medical Research, and as a Summer Research Scholarship recipient and Research Assistant at Monash University in the field of Immunoproteomics.

Saranjah Indumathy has a diverse education history that spans several institutions and fields of study. Saranjah attended Keilor Downs Secondary College from 2006 to 2011 to complete their high school education. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science) at Victoria University from 2012 to 2013.

In 2014, Saranjah enrolled in Deakin University and obtained a Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree. Saranjah furthered their education in 2015 at Monash University, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (honours) in Immunoproteomics, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology.

Continuing their academic journey, Saranjah pursued a Master's degree in Reproductive Stem Cell Biology at The University of Hong Kong from 2017 to 2022. During the same period, they obtained a Master of Intellectual Property Law degree from the University of Technology Sydney, specializing in Intellectual Property Law.

Currently, Saranjah is pursuing a Doctor of Law (JD) degree at the University of Melbourne, starting in 2022 and expected to graduate in 2026.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Saranjah possesses a certification in "Working With Children Check" from the Department of Justice and Registration, although the exact date of obtaining this certification is not provided.
