Michael Llewellyn is a seasoned design engineer with extensive experience spanning several decades. Currently serving as a Design Engineer at LWRC International, LLC since February 2009, Michael previously held similar roles in design at MATECH Solutions and Avitech LLC from August 2002 to February 2009. Earlier career positions include Crew Lead at M&W Paving, Field Services Supervisor at MPW Industrial Services, as well as various driving roles. Michael’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Products and Systems Design from Pennsylvania College of Technology and a diploma in Drafting and Design Technology from North Schuylkill AVTS. Michael also served in the US Army from 1973 to 1976.

LWRC International™, LLC was founded to pursue the development of a short-stroke gas-piston operated version of the AR15/M16/M4 family of weapons. Our research and development activities have focused on eliminating the inherent shortcomings in the direct impingement operating system. These efforts have resulted in our family of M6™ short-stroke, gas-piston operated rifles and carbines, which improve on the direct impingement system by operating cleaner, quieter, and with greater accuracy - and they do so with greater reliability and longer service life. LWRCI™ is headquartered in Cambridge, Maryland, utilizing three facilities totaling over 250,000 square feet. Our manufacturing capability includes over fifty state-of-the-art CNC machine centers, laser cutting machines, screw machines, robotic welding, and mil-spec painting. LWRCI™ is registered with Lloyd's Quality Registrar for ISO-9001 International Standards compliance for Configuration Management.
