James Male

James Male is a Senior Materials Engineer at Lydian since April 2024, previously serving as a Materials Design Engineer at QuesTek Innovations LLC where innovative materials solutions were delivered for energy and aerospace sectors. A PhD candidate at Northwestern University, James focused on phase equilibria and defects in thermoelectric materials, leading to breakthroughs in doping efficiency. James has held roles as a Visiting Research Fellow at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, contributing to advancements in thermoelectrics for space power, and gained early experience as a Materials Engineer Intern at ThermoAura Inc. and various research positions at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. James holds a PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
