Aileen Li, PhD has several years of work experience in various roles and organizations. Aileen is currently working as a Principal Scientist at Lyell Immunopharma, starting in September 2020. Prior to this, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco from January 2018 to September 2020. During their postdoctoral fellowship, they focused on applying synthetic biology approaches to overcome T-cell suppression in the tumor microenvironment. Aileen also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering from July 2017 to December 2017. Aileen completed their PhD at Harvard University, starting in September 2010 and finishing in July 2017. Before their graduate studies, they gained research experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Georgia Institute of Technology from May 2009 to September 2010. Aileen's career also includes a Co-op Engineer role at Genzyme from July 2008 to December 2008.
Aileen Li, PhD, obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Aileen later went on to pursue their Ph.D. at Harvard University, specializing in Engineering and Applied Sciences in Bioengineering. Aileen completed their doctoral studies at Harvard from 2010 to 2016.
