Ken Xiong

Manager, Flow Cytometry at Lyell Immunopharma

Ken Xiong has a diverse work experience in the field of flow cytometry and molecular biology. Ken is currently working as a Scientist, specializing in flow cytometry, at Lyell Immunopharma since April 2022. Previously, they worked at Denali Therapeutics as an Associate Scientist and Flow Cytometry Lead from December 2020 to April 2022. Prior to that, Ken held the position of Scientific Researcher specializing in flow cytometry at Genentech from May 2018 to December 2020.

Before joining the industry, Ken gained research experience through various roles. Ken worked as a Research Intern, Molecular Biologist, and Research Associate II at Complete Genomics Inc. from June 2014 to May 2018. In addition, they served as a Research Assistant at the Schnitzer Lab, Departments of Biological Sciences and Applied Physics at Stanford University in July to September 2011, and at the Steinberg Lab, Department of Neurosurgery at Stanford University in July to September 2010.

Furthermore, Ken has been involved in the academic community. Ken served as the Bioengineering Bootcamp Co-administrator at the Department of Bioengineering, Stanford University in June to August 2013. Overall, Ken possesses a strong background in flow cytometry, molecular biology, and research.

Ken Xiong completed their education at Stanford University. Ken obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Bioengineering from 2009 to 2013. Later, they pursued further studies and earned a Graduate Certificate in Biomedical Informatics: Data, Modeling and Analysis from 2018 to 2019. In addition to their academic achievements, Ken Xiong also obtained a certification as a Specialist in Cytometry (SCYM) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in June 2020.
