Nellie Dillery has a diverse work experience spanning over 18 years. Nellie started their career at EY in 2003 as a Tax Intern. From there, they moved on to become an Assurance Staff through Manager, where they coordinated audit engagements and obtained technical accounting and auditing experience in various industries.
In 2010, Nellie joined Zumiez as a Reporting Manager, responsible for SEC filings and technical accounting positions. Nellie later became the Senior Manager of International Operations and Financial Reporting, leading efforts to improve accounting processes and ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal control requirements.
In 2014, Nellie joined Juno Therapeutics, Inc. as a Senior Accounting Manager, responsible for month-end close and developing month-end and reporting processes for the company's IPO. Nellie later became the Director of Accounting, managing the SEC and financial reporting process and overseeing the accounting consolidation of international operations.
In 2019, Nellie joined Lyell Immunopharma as a Director of Accounting, and later became the Senior Director of Accounting, where they implemented the company's SOX internal control program and supported all phases of SOX compliance.
Finally, they became the Senior Director of Controller at Lyell Immunopharma, leading the accounting team, supporting the IPO, and developing accounting processes and procedures.
Throughout their career, Nellie has demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, SEC filings, technical accounting, and internal control. Nellie has also shown leadership skills by managing teams and providing strategic direction.
Nellie Dillery received their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business. Nellie completed this program from 1999 to 2003. In 2002, they also participated in a Study Abroad program at the National University of Singapore.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Nellie pursued a Master of Professional Accounting degree with a specialization in Taxation at the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business from 2003 to 2004.
In June 2006, they obtained certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the State of Washington.
