Travis Kruger

Travis Kruger has extensive experience in education, holding various teaching positions at different international schools. Travis is currently the Head of Year and MYP Teacher at Lyford Cay International School since July 2022. Before that, they worked as an MYP/Middle School Teacher and Team Lead at Mont'Kiara International School from July 2021 to August 2021. From 2017 to 2019, they taught as an Elementary PE Teacher and Head of ES PE at GEMS Dubai American Academy. Travis also served as a Grade 5 Homeroom Teacher at the same school from July 2017 to July 2018.

Prior to that, Travis worked at Colegio Anglo Colombiano as a PYP Grade 5 Homeroom Teacher from July 2016 to June 2017 and as a PYP Grade 4 Homeroom Teacher from July 2015 to June 2016. Travis also taught as a PYP Grade 4 Homeroom Teacher at Knightsbridge Schools International Bogota from July 2012 to June 2014.

Travis Kruger's earliest teaching experience was at Jackman Avenue Junior Public School in Toronto, Canada, where they taught as a Grade 4, 5, and 6 Homeroom Teacher from February 2010 to June 2012. Travis originally had a short-term contract but was requested to stay on for a full year.

Travis Kruger holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information and Media Studies from Western University, which they obtained from 2002 to 2006. Travis then pursued a Bachelor of Education degree in Primary/Junior Education at the University of Ottawa from 2008 to 2009. Later, Travis completed their Master of Education degree in Social Justice Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto from 2014 to 2016.
