Daniele Mercanti began their career in 2011 as a Workflow Consultant for the BBC Production Village. In this role, they were responsible for working closely with productions to help maximise the creative potential of available production technologies and looking further to improve workflow efficiency. Daniele also helped planning productions, advised on end to end workflows and resolved potential workflow issues.
In 2013, Mercanti moved to Support Partners, where they took on the role of Workflow and Application Specialist. In this role, they were responsible for evaluating new products, solutions and processes; specialising in video editing, grading, GFX/compositing, on-line, versioning, transcoding, file based delivery, and MAM integration; and planning end-to-end operational processes and technical delivery requirements.
In 2019, Mercanti became the Chief Information Officer at Lyfta. In this role, they are responsible for specifying solutions and processes which maximise use of existing technology investment; document and communicate the impact, benefits and risks of products, technologies and workflows to a range of stakeholders and end users managing their smooth transition into production operation.
Daniele Mercanti studied at the ESCAC, where they obtained their MA in Cinematography. They also took short courses in lighting for film and HD at the National Film and Television School. In addition, they have a BA (Hons) in film, photography, interactive design, and media studies from the University of Westminster. They also have a certification from Jamf in CCT.
They are on a team with Tim Burridge - Head, People Operations, Ross Tranter - Head, School Partnerships, and Anshuman Bagri - Product Owner. Daniele Mercanti reports to Serdar Ferit, CEO & Co-Founder.
