Jason Poulos

Jason Poulos has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Jason is currently working at Lygos where they focus on market development and product innovation using synthetic biology to create natural products and polymers. Prior to this, Jason was the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Librede Inc, a company focused on developing biosynthetic technologies for understanding complex biological systems and developing new therapeutics. Jason also served as the Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of the same company. Before venturing into the entrepreneurial world, Jason worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, where they developed automated lipid bilayer platforms and acquired expertise in various areas such as automation, instrumentation development, and fluid control. Jason also briefly worked as a Researcher at the University of California, Irvine.

Jason Poulos completed their education in a sequential manner. Jason began by pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, San Diego, from 2001 to 2005. Following this, they went on to attend the University of California, Los Angeles, where they obtained a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from 2005 to 2007. Continuing at UCLA, they then pursued a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from 2005 to 2009.
