Truyen Le

Truyen Le is an experienced engineer and consultant with a diverse range of work experience. Truyen began their career at the University of Minnesota Bookstore as a Sales Associate in 2014. In the same year, they also worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the Center for Sustainable Polymers, where they contributed to the synthesis and characterization of a renewable and sustainable elastomer.

In 2016, Truyen served as a Reactive Hot Melt Intern at HB Fuller Co (HB1), gaining valuable industry experience. Truyen then joined Cargill as a Pilot Plant Technician in 2017, where they played a key role in the operation of the plant.

Truyen went on to work as a Graduate Student Consultant at a late-stage battery startup, where they evaluated the product-market fit of high-energy density batteries for e-mobility markets. Truyen conducted market surveys and identified value-drivers in specific segments, contributing to strategic decision-making.

Following this, Truyen joined Lygos as a Process Development Engineer II in 2020. Here, they developed processes to recover and purify fermentation-derived products, optimized chemical conversion processes, and developed protocols for product purification and stabilization.

In addition to their industry experience, Truyen also served as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of California, Berkeley, where they shared their knowledge and expertise with students.
