Anup Atre

Anup Atre is an Engineer III in Process Development at Moderna, where responsibilities include serving as the Process Characterization Lead for mRNA-LNP Vaccine Drug Substance processes across three international manufacturing sites. Anup has authored manufacturing process descriptions, provided in-suite support during engineering runs, and led process characterization for seasonal flu vaccine drug substance. Prior roles include Senior Research Associate at Bambu Vault, focusing on SARS-CoV2 detection tests and assay development, and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, completing a master's thesis on mesoporous silica nanoparticles. Anup holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Amrita University. Additional experience includes internships and projects with various organizations in areas such as polymer synthesis, materials characterization, and process optimization.
