Rebecca Harvey

Rebecca Harvey has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Rebecca has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their skills in graphic design, user experience research, and service design.

Rebecca's most recent position was as a Senior Service Designer at Lyka, starting in May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a UX Researcher at Atlassian from October 2022 to March 2023.

Before joining Atlassian, Rebecca was the Lead User Experience Researcher at Virtually Human, where they played a crucial role in setting up the practice, tools, and workflow for UX research. Rebecca managed research requests and collaborated closely with Product Managers, Data Analysts, and Product Designers. Rebecca'stenure at Virtually Human lasted from December 2021 to September 2022.

From July 2019 to November 2021, Rebecca worked as a Senior Experience Designer at the Australian Taxation Office. Rebecca conducted user research and created prototypes for various projects, including ato.gov.au, JobKeeper, and beta.

Rebecca also had a significant role at the Bureau of Meteorology. From December 2017 to June 2019, they served as a Senior Experience Designer, conducting user research, synthesizing and analyzing data, and creating artifacts to communicate findings. Additionally, they briefly acted as the User Experience and Design Manager and the User Experience Designer at the bureau.

Earlier in their career, Rebecca worked as a Senior Graphic Designer/Marketing Coordinator at Vipac Engineers and Scientists, where they focused on graphic design for marketing and technical documents.

Rebecca Harvey has a diverse education history. In 1991, they completed their Higher School Certificate (HSC) at Melville High School. In 1998, they obtained a Certificate IV in Information Technology (PC Support), as well as a Certificate III in Information Technology from TAFE NSW. The following year, they pursued a Diploma in Information Technology (Business Systems) from TAFE NSW, specializing in Multimedia. From 2000 to 2002, they attended the University of South Australia where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Communication, with a focus on Graphic Design.

Rebecca expanded their skills in 2007 by completing a Certificate IV in Small Business Management from TAFE NSW. In 2015, they furthered their education in User Experience Design by attending General Assembly. Rebecca's most recent educational pursuit in 2017 was at Academy Xi, where they obtained a degree in Service Design.

In addition to their formal education, Rebecca has acquired additional certifications. In 2015, they completed "FileMaker Pro 14 Essential Training" and "Relational Database Design with FileMaker Pro" from lynda.com. In 2018, they obtained a certification in "Behavioural Economics in Action" through edX.
