Johnnie James

Johnnie James has a diverse and extensive work experience. Johnnie is currently a Resident member of the Florida Council of 100, starting in November 2022. Prior to this, they served as President and CEO of Lykes Bros. Inc., a Florida-based agribusiness, from June 2019. Johnnie also held the role of Independent Board Member and Audit Committee Chair at Lykes Bros. Inc. from June 2018 to June 2019.

In addition, Johnnie James has been actively involved in various organizations within the state of Florida. Johnnie served as a Board Member of the Florida Chamber of Commerce starting in November 2019 and as a Board Member of Florida's Natural Growers since July 2019. Johnnie is also a Member of the Florida Land Council since June 2019.

Furthermore, Johnnie James has experience in the agriculture industry as the Owner of Bethel Valley Farms, LLC, a large berry farm in North Carolina since October 2011. Johnnie was also an Independent Board Member at Columbus Industries, Inc., a global air filter manufacturing company, from July 2016 to October 2021.

Prior to these roles, Johnnie James was the Chief Operating Officer and Independent Board Member of The Oakley Companies, which includes Oakley Transport and Oakley Groves, two prominent transportation and agricultural companies.

Johnnie James completed their Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Florida, where they studied from 1976 to 1980.
