Kelly Van Kooten

It is very exciting to teach elementary PE and give the students the knowledge, skills and confidence to be physically active not only in school, but hopefully for a lifetime!

I love watching kids take on new challenges, encourage others and work together as a team. Every day we can give all the glory and praise to God for the wonderful, amazing bodies He has given us!

I am a graduate of Lynden Christian and I received my teaching degree from Western Washington University where I majored in special education. I taught second grade for seven years and part-time remedial math for one year in the Ferndale School District before deciding to stay home after our daughter was born. My husband Travis and I live in Lynden and have three kids, all whom attend Lynden Christian. I love spending time with my family- together we enjoy hiking, playing sports and working in the raspberry field. We are members of Cornwall Church.
