Senior Director, Engineering at Lynk Global

Mark Winston is an accomplished technology professional with significant experience in engineering, consulting, and management across various fields. Mark currently serves as Director of Engineering at Lynk, where they lead the company's telecommunications engineering division, developing the core technology of the world's first satellite-based cellular network. Prior to their work at Lynk, Winston founded Jarist Inc., a technology and management consulting firm geared toward helping small and mid-sized companies with technical product development. Mark has also served as the CIO of Fine Point Technologies, where they implemented device management, installation, and customer care solutions. In addition to their consulting experience, Winston has worked in engineering roles at McQ Inc., where they contributed to the design and implementation of countless wireless sensor R&D and product development projects. Mark was also a Director of Engineering at ST Engineering iDirect, where they oversaw the software development life cycle, contributed and led in various areas including Agile/Scrum/SAFe development methodologies, product management, and ISO compliance. Winston started their career as an Engineer Intern at Danaher Motion and has contributed to numerous research projects at Virginia Tech College of Engineering and Center for Power Electronics Systems.

Mark Winston received their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech in the year 2003. Mark then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Mary Washington, which they completed between 2006 and 2008. Mark also attended The Boys' Latin School of Maryland, although the exact dates of their attendance remain unknown. Additionally, Mark possesses certifications from Scaled Agile, Inc. and Scrum Alliance, having obtained their Scaled Agile Framework Program Consultant certification in September 2016 and their Certified ScrumMaster certification in February 2015.
