Hilliard Hicks

Hilliard Hicks is an experienced marine biology and coastal management professional currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Southern Leyte State University and a Coastal Management Specialist at Lynker. Hilliard's background includes a role as a Fisheries Biologist with the Division of Fish and Wildlife in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where data collection and outreach to commercial fishers were key responsibilities. Previous positions include Coral Reef Community Coordinator at Lynker Technologies, Aquatic Resource Management Specialist with the Peace Corps, and graduate studies in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Hilliard has also contributed to environmental outreach and education through various initiatives and organizations, including the Sierra Club and World Bird Sanctuary. Education consists of a Master’s degree from UC San Diego and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
