Shelley Melchior

Shelley Melchior is an experienced professional currently serving as a Branch Leader at Lynker, where Shelley leads contractor efforts at NOAA's Environmental Modeling Center for Verification, Post-Processing, and Product Generation. With a strong background in atmospheric sciences, Shelley has been a Support Scientist at I.M. Systems Group since August 2010, providing critical services to NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Prediction, focusing on the preparation and quality control of atmospheric observation data for numerical weather models. Previously, Shelley held positions including Program Manager and Task Leader within IMSG, where responsibilities included project management for teams of scientists and overseeing observations processing tasks. Earlier experience includes roles at SAIC as a Support Scientist and Research Meteorologist, and academic positions as a Teaching Assistant at Purdue University. Shelley holds a Master’s degree in Atmospheric Science from Purdue University and a Bachelor's degree in Meteorology and Applied Mathematics from the University of Miami.
