Gareth Fowles

VP, Enrollment & University Advancement at Lynn University

As a member of the Lynn University leadership team, Fowles provides strategic direction for recruiting undergraduate, graduate and continuing education students. During his tenure, the geographic diversity of the student population has spanned all 50 states and more than 100 countries, and the university has been consistently recognized among the top most international schools in the country by U.S. News & World Report. Fowles and his team have increased both the quantity and quality of student enrollment using a data-driven approach to enroll right-fit students. He also leads the university’s efforts to improve retention and graduation rates and spearheaded a major overhaul of the campus visit program, which received national recognition from The New York Times, Inside Higher Ed and University Business magazine.

Prior to his appointment to vice president in 2010, Fowles served as special assistant to the president. He also served as director of regional development and director of alumni affairs in Lynn’s Office of Development and Alumni Affairs. A Lynn alumnus and former student athlete, Fowles was recruited from his hometown of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, to play for the nationally ranked Fighting Knights soccer team.

He holds a B.S., Business Administration from Lynn University, M.B.A., International Business from Lynn University and Ed.D., Higher Education Leadership from Vanderbilt University.
