Chris Tagoe

Chris Tagoe has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Chris is currently serving as the Senior Vice President HSE at LyondellBasell, a position they assumed in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Kraton Corporation from 2019 to 2022, progressing from roles such as Snr Director HSES and Engineering to Snr Director Global HSES, where they spearheaded Product Stewardship, Regulatory Assurance, and HSES initiatives. Before joining Kraton Corporation, they worked as a Consultant at an Independent firm from 2018 to 2019.

During their career, Chris also held leadership positions at companies such as Schlumberger and Cameron, where they had global responsibilities for health, safety, and environmental programs. At Cameron, they successfully centralized and improved HS&E support services, leading to a significant reduction in injury rates and cost. Chris also served as a Partner at The Quaker Group from 2010 to 2011.

Earlier in their career, Chris held various roles at LyondellBasell, starting as a Production Manager and later advancing to positions like Vice President of Information Technology Operations, Vice President of Engineering Services, and General Manager/Vice President Health Safety & Environment. In these roles, they demonstrated their expertise in technology, engineering, operational excellence, and HS&E functions.

Chris's professional journey started at DuPont in 1984, where they gained expertise in olefins feedstock quality evaluation. Chris later worked at Cain Chemical and Oxy, where they held various roles.

Throughout their career, Chris Tagoe has consistently delivered outstanding results, such as achieving best HSES performance and cost savings, and has shown a commitment to promoting health, safety, environmental compliance, and security in the organizations they have worked with.

Chris Tagoe attended Northeastern University from 1981 to 1983, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Chemical Engineering. Prior to that, from 1978 to 1981, they attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering. Earlier in their education, from 1977 to 1978, Chris attended Boston University, but their degree status is unspecified. They pursued studies in Biomedical Engineering during this period.
