Nicholas Shelton

Nicholas Shelton has a diverse work experience in the field of safety and risk management. Nicholas started their career as a Safety Assistant at SAIC in 2006 and later worked as a Health and Safety Supervisor at MPW Industrial Services in 2008. In 2010, they returned to SAIC as a Safety Officer and later became a Safety Manager. In 2013, they joined Leidos as a Safety Manager and worked there until 2017. Since 2017, they have been working at Lyons HR, initially as a Director of Safety Services and currently holds the position of Director of Safety and Risk Management.

Nicholas Shelton holds a Master of Science degree in Safety Management (MS) from West Virginia University, which they obtained from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Industrial Safety and Risk Management from Eastern Kentucky University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Nicholas Shelton has also obtained various certifications in the field of safety. Nicholas received the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in July 2021, and had previously obtained the certification in July 2015. Nicholas also holds the Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification, which they obtained in March 2015 from the same institution.
