Alex Wurzel

Alex Wurzel, MBA, has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Alex started their career as an intern chemist at Ensemble Therapeutics Corporation in 2011. The following year, they joined EMD Serono as a Biotech Process Sciences, Analytical Co-op. In 2012, they joined PerkinElmer, Inc. and took on roles ranging from Associate Chemist to Quality Assurance Engineer. Alex'stenure at PerkinElmer lasted until 2019. Since then, they have been working at Lyra Therapeutics, starting as a Sr. QA Scientist and progressing to the role of Quality Assurance Manager. Alex'scurrent position at Lyra Therapeutics is Associate Director, Quality Systems.

Alex Wurzel, MBA, holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, which was obtained in 2017. Prior to that, Alex earned a Master of Science degree in Biology from Tufts University, from 2013 to 2016. Alex's undergraduate education was completed at Northeastern University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, Alex has received certifications in "GCP for Clinical Trials with Investigational Drugs and Medical Devices (U.S. FDA Focus) Course" from CITI Program, A Division of BRANY in 2020, and a Green Belt Certification.
