Eleanor Bartsch is a highly accomplished violinist and educator with extensive experience in various musical settings. Currently serving as Section Violin 1 at the Lyric Opera of Chicago and as Head of Strings and adjunct Professor of Violin at Elmhurst University, Eleanor also performs as First Violin with the Kontras Quartet and holds the position of Associate Concertmaster for the Elgin Symphony Orchestra. Eleanor co-founded the Willy Street Chamber Players, overseeing concert promotions and social media while performing regularly. A versatile musician, Eleanor has freelanced since 2000 across classical, baroque, jazz, and studio settings. Additionally, Eleanor served as Concertmaster for the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra and Artist in Residence at Western Michigan University. Eleanor holds a Master of Music in Violin Performance and a Graduate Certificate in Business from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
