Mukunth Parthasarathy

Mukunth Parthasarathy's work experience begins in 2016 as a Research Assistant at the University of California San Diego, where they focused on developing a wearable biofuel cell. Their work in this role resulted in a publication in RSC: Energy and environmental science.

In 2017, they joined Penn State University as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant. During this time, they worked on a 3D phasic scaffolding approach for reconstructing the periodontal ligament in-vitro. Additionally, they contributed to the development and validation of a nanoparticle vector for targeted delivery of large pDNA cargo. Mukunth also served as a teaching assistant for a Biomedical Instrumentation course.

Starting in 2019, Parthasarathy worked as a Research Associate at Quantapore Inc., focusing on sequencing. In 2020, they joined UPSIDE Foods as a Research Associate II with a focus on cellular adaptation. In this role, they generated growth curves, evaluated genome stability, and ran adaptation panels to identify good cell candidates. Mukunth also assisted with automating and evaluating cell culture techniques.

In 2022, Parthasarathy joined Neurona Therapeutics as a Research Associate II in the Discovery department. Their responsibilities included characterizing interneuron progenitors, growing cortical organoids, and utilizing an Agilent Bravo liquid handler to work with 2D and 3D tissue culture.

Most recently, they joined Lyterian Therapeutics in 2023 as a Senior Research Associate I in Cellular Engineering. Details about their role there are not provided.

Mukunth Parthasarathy completed their High School Diploma from Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School from 1998 to 2012. Mukunth then pursued a Bachelor of Technology - BTech in Genetic Engineering from SRM University from 2012 to 2016. Following this, they obtained a Master's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Penn State University from 2016 to 2017.
