Mukunth Parthasarathy's work experience begins in 2016 as a Research Assistant at the University of California San Diego, where they focused on developing a wearable biofuel cell. Their work in this role resulted in a publication in RSC: Energy and environmental science.
In 2017, they joined Penn State University as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant. During this time, they worked on a 3D phasic scaffolding approach for reconstructing the periodontal ligament in-vitro. Additionally, they contributed to the development and validation of a nanoparticle vector for targeted delivery of large pDNA cargo. Mukunth also served as a teaching assistant for a Biomedical Instrumentation course.

Most recently, they joined Lyterian Therapeutics in 2023 as a Senior Research Associate I in Cellular Engineering. Details about their role there are not provided.
Mukunth Parthasarathy completed their High School Diploma from Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School from 1998 to 2012. Mukunth then pursued a Bachelor of Technology - BTech in Genetic Engineering from SRM University from 2012 to 2016. Following this, they obtained a Master's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Penn State University from 2016 to 2017.
