Sruthi Viswam

Sruthi Viswam has a diverse background in research and product specialist roles. Sruthi began their career in 2011 as a Project Intern at the International School of Photonics, Cochin University of Science and Technology. In 2012, they were a Research Intern at the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP) in Kolkata, through an Indian Academy of Sciences Fellowship. In 2013, they held a Junior Researcher position at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) where they worked on nanostructuring of germane-doped silica fibers. Sruthi also worked as a Visiting Student Researcher (VSRP 2013) at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Mumbai. In 2015, they were a Visiting Researcher at Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, PTB, where they worked on the characterisation of a Strontium Optical lattice Clock (SOC2 Project). From 2014 to 2017, they were a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher at the University of Birmingham. In 2017, they took on a Scientific Product Specialist role at M Squared.

Sruthi Viswam has a diverse educational background. Sruthi completed their Higher Secondary Education (HSE) at Goverment Higher Secondary School, Pala, Kerala in 2009, majoring in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Sruthi then attended Cochin University of Science and Technology, graduating with an Integrated MSc in Photonics (Optoelectronics, Fiber Optics, Laser Physics, Nano and Bio Photonics, Optics etc...) in 2014. Sruthi then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Atomic Physics, Cold Atoms, and Strontium Atomic Clocks at the University of Birmingham, which they completed in 2019. In 2022, they obtained a Diploma in Project Management from Upskillist.
