Dr Azam P. has a diverse work experience in the fields of supply chain management, supply chain infrastructure, supply chain finance, supply chain technologies, renewable energy, energy efficiency, trade financing, entrepreneurship, innovation, and digital transformation.

Extensive cross-industry experience, of more than two decades as a head and senior advisor, on:

- supply chain management (consumer goods and commodities - diverse product portfolio that ranged from Food and Agriculture to Oil&Gas and Industrial Metals),

- supply chain infrastructure (with government agencies, and port and economic zone authorities),

- supply chain and entrepreneurial finance (with commercial, multi-lateral banks and private funds),

- supply chain and financial technologies (start-ups & scale-ups), and

- strategic consulting (with top-tier consulting firms).

Setup, scaled and managed businesses with cross-functional responsibilities, that have been holistically entrepreneurial, across diverse markets in Middle East, Central Asia, West, and East Africa, Southern Africa, Europe, and South Asia. Designed and developed economic clusters for governments and business lines for private companies that included optimizing supply chains of traditional commodities and consumer goods, as well as deploying disruptive digital solutions to create and capture value.

Expertise in bringing together deep insights and experience of private, government, and financial sectors, to design and deliver simple innovative solutions to resolve complex business problems. Solutions delivered included designing methodologies, and tools for enhancing supply chain efficiencies, and wider access to competitive finance.

Interest in applying best-in-class academic research to corporate settings which include practices, methodologies and frameworks derived from academic immersions in areas like project management techniques at PMI and Stanford University, entrepreneurship at Wharton School, energy innovation at Stanford School of Engineering, and applied strategic (doctoral level) research at SDA Bocconi School of Management. Volunteered at Stanford GSB's SEED advisory network working to enhance impact entrepreneurship, building supply chain, technological and financial capabilities for scale-ups in West, East, Southern Africa, and India.

Applied research interest in entrepreneurial ecosystems which include economic zones, clusters and incubators (accelerators), and commercial interest in financially inclusive digital supply-chain ecosystems that deliver impact at grass-root level.
