Jennifer Barnes

Jennifer Barnes is a board member at Maastricht University. Jennifer was previously the Pro Vice Chancellor, International Strategy and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Cambridge from January 2010 to December 2015. In this role, they created focus, momentum and networks for the university's international research which generated significant revenue, increased international reputation, and built additional opportunities for academic and the university. Jennifer also served as the Group Director of Education at BP from January 2005 to December 2008, where they developed Group strategy for effective investments of circa $100m p.a. in education in different countries and operating environments around the world. Prior to that, they were the Assistant Principal and Dean at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance from January 1999 to December 2005.

Jennifer Barnes has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in M from The University of London, a PG in MMus from The Royal College of Music, and a BA in English Literature from Smith College. Jennifer also has certification from the Higher Education Academy in Member, Higher Education Academy.
