Matt Heckman

Matt Heckman has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Matt started their career in 1988 as a Principal Lecturer at Zuyd University of Applied Science and continued in this role until the present. In 1997, they also became a Principal Lecturer at Maastricht University. From 2001 to 2009, Matt worked as a Principal lecturer graduate programmes/manager resources MBA-programme at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences. In 2008, they joined Zuyd Hogeschool as a researcher and later held various roles including academic coordinator mba programme, principal lecturer graduate programmes, and senior researcher/post-doc. In 2017, Matt worked as a Researcher at Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus BV. Overall, their work experience illustrates a strong background in lecturing, research, and academic management.

Matt Heckman earned a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Maastricht University from 1982 to 1986. Matt then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in International and European Law at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, which they completed from 1986 to 1988. Later, they returned to Maastricht University to further their education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Intellectual Property Law/Competition Law, completing the program in 2016.
