Mr. De Neve has led radiotherapy research at Ghent University for the past ten years. The focus of his research is on making experimental radiation techniques clinically useful. Before that, he headed the Radiotherapy Department of the UZ-Ghent. He has extensive experience as a promoter of scientific projects, including the Belgian Hadron Therapy Project, which investigated the feasibility of national proton and other ion therapy on behalf of the Federal Government. He is a member of scientific councils and of the Board of Directors of the Foundation against Cancer.
