John Connell

John Connell has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and research industry. John is currently serving as the Chief Scientific Officer at MAC Clinical Research since June 2018. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Research & Development Officer at the same company from September 2014 to June 2018.

Before joining MAC Clinical Research, John worked at ICON Development Solutions for over 13 years. During their time at ICON, they held various positions such as Vice President, Pharmacodynamics from September 2009 to September 2014, Senior Director of Scientific and Clinical Operations from July 2007 to September 2009, and Head of Clinical Pharmacodynamics from January 2001 to July 2007.

In addition, John also has experience as a Business Development Manager at Medeval Ltd from April 2000 to January 2001, and as a Research Manager at Neuraxis Ltd from April 1996 to April 2000.

John Connell received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of Psychiatry from The University of Manchester. John completed their studies from 1993 to 1996.
