Angela Schlater is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program development and historical research. Currently a Senior Cross-Foundation Program Officer at the MacArthur Foundation since July 2012, Angela oversees initiatives related to nuclear challenges, COVID recovery, and racial justice, alongside previous roles within the same foundation in global security and peace programs. In addition, Angela operates A. Schlater Consulting as an independent photographer specializing in natural light, on-location portraits, and manages a private family archive of significant historical documents from the Second World War and earlier. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in History from Loyola University Chicago and two Bachelor's degrees in English Literature and History from Miami University, complemented by policy training at the University of California, San Diego.
